Green with envy...

Despite the obvious reasons for the post title, I'm envious of myself for having had such an amazing weekend, filled with 80+ degree weather, amazing company, and delicious food.

My intention is not to brag (well not totally) but to use this as a reminder later of a rare, yet glorious January weekend. Soon enough us Californians will be complaining about 65 degree weather, and a little bit of drizzle yet again.

I was also pleased to have the perfect opportunity to wear my super bright, cut out top!

Anywho, Hope you all had an equally amazing weekend!

Happy Monday

Pixelated

So I'm totally crushing on all things pixelated!
It's a perfect way to mix and match bright colors, and considering the colors for spring include bright neon hues, you'll want to take advantage of any opportunity to wear them all at the same time!

Check out Preen's Spring 2012 line. They do a great job of mixing tons of bright and beautiful pixelated textiles with classic silhouettes as well as basic hues like black and white.
Also, another addiction to add the my list of many is Cristain Zuzunaga's home decor in this fun print! You can find anything from  throw pillows to a sofa in a wide range of pixelated hues! So amazing!

I'm planning a major DIY project filled with paints chips to mimic that of a pixelated print!

Hello, High Low...

And so it goes...on just a regular ol' Wednesday....

I wanted to pump up this notoriously lackluster day with a bit of variety.
Hence all the dazzling accessories, bright coral top, and this charming horizontal striped high low skirt!
(amazing buy from Target!)

The most exciting part of this look is the sock in my hair serving as DIY hair rat! It was so easy. Cut the toe off a sock, roll it up, pull pony tail through, bobby pin. TA-DA a perfect evenly distributed ballerina bun!

 Happy Wednesday!

And it was all yellow...

And so it goes…on just another Tuesday, I reminisce on the past weekend. By reminisce I mean wear one of my great weekend buys!

A dear friend of mine that I see far too little came for a little visit. The reason: shopping.

Now, I had every intention to help her find a couple items that would make her wardrobe feel new, yet create a few staples so she could wear them often. Well, with spring rearing the corner the mall was full of bright prints and bold colors and I got overly excited (and my wallet got overly used).  Another side effect of new spring items was fall items on SALE! I was almost hyperventilating with all the amazing deals! These shoes for example! And amazing buy from Aldo, Originally $130, I bought them for $40! Crazy right?!

Woo! I got a little too excited there. Any who, It was a great day with a wonderful friend, amazing deals, and successful purchases.   Hopefully that will satisfy my shopping  urge for the next month.

HAH! Who am I kidding!

Happy Tuesday!

Clouded

And so it goes, on a beautiful day, skies filled with clouds, ground saturated with rain. I am one happy girl. I’m not sure what it is about the rain that gets me so excited. I guess it’s mostly because I no longer ride bikes, and play hopscotch on the driveway. I actually get to enjoy the temporary parking lot ponds rippling with drizzle whilst sitting at my desk.

The pictures above were taken in honor of what I thought would be a rainy day (yesterday), that turned out to just be an awkwardly cloudy day. You know, when the sky is blanketed with fluffy clouds yet you’re still squinting. Yeah, that kind of day.  So it was a waste of a great rainy day look, and I am less than prepared on this actual rainy day, in my not so water proof boots.

Long story short, it’s raining =]

 Happy Monday!

Color Me Happy...

And so it goes on this partially gloomy Friday, I am feeling anything but gloom!

It's Friday, need I say more? No? Well I'm going to anyway...

Let's Just say, I'm uber happy for the weekend. For obvious reason of course, and also because it's going to RAIN! The weekends are the perfect time for rain. It means you can stay cozy in your bed, sleep in, watch a movie...with out the side effect of guilt! Plus, it warrants indoor activities like shopping, and shopping! Can't wait!!

Happy Friday!

Dizzy Spell

And so it goes...on another Monday that seems to come too fast.

I'm suffering from a bad case of the Monday blues. But I'm hoping this groovy  little get up will snap me out of my apathetic mood.

Destruction...

Let me start by saying this. I have this extreme fear of Earthquakes. And the whole living in California, only a few miles away from a fault (550 to be exact), thing hasn’t really helped much.
Well now that you know this I can move on…
I woke up today feeling the joys of a Friday morning, Birds were chirping, sun shining, it was going to be a good day. Until the news hyped an earthquake just a few short miles north of my current location, which was also 11 floors high.
So the earthquake was only a 2.7, but I still had instant visions of the building collapsing, trying to find my cat in the midst of the destruction. It was one big chaotic mess in my slightly over stimulated mind.
So then, I thought about all the end of the world movies (because real life should always be based off movies), Armageddon, The day after tomorrow, Independence Day.  No one in those movies survived because they were wearing a frilly dress and stilettos. So I figured, if I have any chance of surviving this totally fictional disaster, I had to dress like one bad bitch.  And if your definition of bad bitch is a revealed midriff, pink pants, and a useless headband, than we are on the same page.
I think this look could withstand a few fallen boulder, aliens (I’m not sure where that came from either), and whatever any other disaster may strike. ..

Let’s just say…It’s going to be an interesting Friday..

Bragging Rights.

and so it goes...

Let's just say yesterday was a success, thanks to that lovely bright skirt of mine!
Ok, not really, but we nailed it and the numbers were even better than we thought!

So today I found an outfit that fit into a much less stressful environment, yet still portrayed the "yes I rock" feelings that I have going on.

Just to ensure I have more than one thing to brag about, I wore my favorite hand made top, and my DIY embellished belt!

It's going to be a good day!

Orange you glad....

And so it goes…
On a busy Tuesday, I’m prepared to meet with the big man on campus (The VP of my company).
After 2 very long months of brainstorming, designing, and preparing the next line for Fred David It’s boiled down to today…I finally get to present it.

Just to prove how professional (and stylish) I am, I had to pull out my orange linen skirt! A pop of orange in any other form would be my demise. but using it in the all-time professional Pencil skirt may be my best ally.

Ok, so my clothes aren’t going to be the end factor in whether this line is a hit, but I’m sure it won’t hurt!
Anywho, I have full faith that I will nail today's presentation!

Look back tomorrow for the results!!

Sunday Funday...

And so it goes...on A beautiful weekend my sister and I find a perfect photo-opp.

The Fullerton train station.
So romantic in theory, so noisy and not so clean in reality.
But I find an infinite amount of joy seeing people reunite off the train.
And I'm sure the train goers found amusement out of the "wanna be model" by the trains.
The shoot was fun, and the pictures turned out great, thanks to my
talented sister, Brittney Hofer, of BCH Photography
